Riverside Concrete Company, riversideconcretecompany.com, sales@riversideconcretecompany.com

Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use the Riverside Concrete Company website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for concrete work. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them.

If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the site. Call us before you book so we can talk it through.

If a written estimate or contract we sign with you says something different from this page, the signed document controls for that job.

What we do

Riverside Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Riverside, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, slabs, footings, foundations and retaining walls, and we also do stamped and decorative concrete, concrete cutting and foundation raising. You can read more about our crew on our About page and see the full list of services from our home page.

What the site says about our services is general information to help you plan. It isn't a quote or a promise about your job. Your job's scope is what we write down in your estimate or contract.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates with no obligation, because we can't price concrete work properly without seeing the site, the soil and where the water runs.

An estimate is based on what we can see on the day we visit. Concrete work often turns up things nobody could see beforehand, such as soft or wet ground under an old slab, buried roots, old concrete or pipes. If that happens, we'll stop, show you what we found and give you the cost to deal with it before we go further. We won't do extra work you haven't approved.

Prices can also change if you change the size, finish, thickness or layout of the job after we've written the estimate. Any change gets agreed with you first.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set your start date when you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so heavy rain, extreme heat or wind can push a pour back, because pouring in bad conditions makes a weaker slab. If we have to move your date for weather, equipment or material delays, we'll tell you as soon as we know and set the next workable day.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (951) 631-9520 as early as you can. If materials have already been ordered or delivered, or work has started, you may owe for those costs and for the work done so far, as your contract sets out.

Before we start, you're responsible for making sure we can reach the work area and for marking anything we can't see, such as private sprinkler lines or private utility lines. We'll arrange the standard utility locate before we dig.

Payment

Your estimate or contract states what you'll pay, when payments are due and which payment methods we take. Any deposit and its amount will be written there too.

Payment is due on the dates the contract gives. If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled, and we may use the remedies California law gives contractors to collect what's owed.

Caring for new concrete

New concrete needs time to cure, which means the slow hardening it does after the pour, before it's ready for feet and then for vehicles. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and following those times is your responsibility once we leave.

Damage caused by using the concrete too early, by heavy equipment it wasn't built for, by deicing salts, by changes to drainage or landscaping after we finish, or by ground movement outside our work isn't covered by us.

Warranty and what concrete does

We stand behind our work and want you satisfied with it. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any specific written warranty for your job will be in your contract, and that document sets what it covers and for how long.

Concrete can develop small hairline cracks as it dries and as the ground moves with the seasons. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves in the slab, so most cracking happens there and not across the open surface, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack. Small color differences between pours, between stamped sections or against older concrete are also normal.

Apart from what's written in your contract, our work and this website are provided without any other warranties, to the extent the law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, Riverside Concrete Company isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses connected to our work or this website, such as lost use of your property, lost income or the cost of other projects tied to ours.

If we are found liable for something related to a job, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, except where the law doesn't allow that limit. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that can't be waived.

Using this website

The information on this site is general. We try to keep it accurate and current, but it may contain errors or go out of date, and you shouldn't rely on it in place of an in-person look at your property.

The text, photos and design on this site belong to Riverside Concrete Company or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking us first.

When you send us your details through the site, we use them to answer your request and to schedule your estimate.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with any part of our work, please call us or reach us through our Contact page first. Most problems get sorted out quickly once we're standing on the job together.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court, unless your contract says otherwise. If a claim does go to court, it will be heard in the courts of Riverside County, California.

Governing law

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here is the one that applies when you use the site, and changes won't alter a contract you've already signed with us.

If you have a question about any of this, call us at (951) 631-9520 or use our Contact page, and we'll explain it plainly.
